The Game of Thrones fandom might have been thrilled when they got the sex scene they were after in ‘The Dragon and The Wolf’, but not everyone was all aboard that particular ship. If we cast our minds back to the season seven finale of Game of Thrones, one of the episode’s (many) standout scenes was the moment Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen finally did the deed.
Plenty of viewers were all for Jon pledging his allegiance to Dany (if you catch our drift), but Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister didn’t appear to be so sure.

And that’s not even because Jon and Dany are related…
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Peter finally gave us some insight into what was going through Tyrion’s mind as he listened in on Westeros’ newest power couple make sweet forbidden love.
“Keep it down over there, I’m trying to get some sleep!” he joked, before giving a much more serious answer. “No, ah, it’s complicated…”
The actor explained that ultimately Tyrion believes Jon and Dany’s relationship is “very dangerous”, but admitted it was both “professional and personal” for his character.
“Obviously, [Tyrion] has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her – or thinks he does. She’s awe-inspiring. He’s questioning that because he doesn’t have a good track record for falling in love. There’s jealousy wrapped up in there,” he explained.
“And he loves Jon Snow, too. They’re the two people he has the most in common with, in a way – they’re both outsiders in their own families who have refused to follow the path their family has taken, and hopefully for the better. “He’s wondering how smart of a move [Jon and Dany getting romantically involved is], because passion and politics don’t mix well.”
Game of Thrones fans won’t get to see just how badly passion and politics mix until next year, which is when the final season is scheduled to arrive. Although there were hopes for a May – or even April – debut, the show’s visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer recently hinted that the final six episodes may not arrive until June.
